Today the CISA Office for Chemical Security (OCS) published
links on the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) Knowledge Center to two issues of their
Chemical Security Quarterly publication; August
2020 and December
2020. These flyers are typically distributed by email (you can subscribe to
the CISA email distribution here),
I just received my copy of the March 2021 issue.
While some of the articles in these two issues are somewhat
dated (the description of the ‘upcoming’ December 2020 Chemical Security
Seminars for instance), there is a lot of good information about the CFATS
program in them. Since CISA no longer dates changes to their web pages, the
section on ‘New and Updated Resources’ provides a list of recently updated
pages. Pages listed in the December 2020 issue that have not already been
discussed here include:
• CFATS
Authorization Inspections Fact Sheet,
• CFATS
Compliance Inspections Fact Sheet,
• CFATS
Penalty Policy Overview Flyer,
• CFATS
Most Commonly Regulated Chemicals of Interest,
• CFATS
Receiving a COI Flyer,
As far as I can tell, there is no really new information in
any of these flyers, they are mainly reformatting to reflect the change from
NPPD to CISA. Similarly, OCS has updated the following CFATS industry flyers:
• Brewery,
• Laboratory,
• Warehouse,
Storage and Distribution Facilities,
• Winery,
